Happy St. Patty's Day

We hope everyone is having a wonderful green day. I love St. Patrick's Day. It was always one of my favorite days when I taught kindergarten. Since I don't teach anymore I thought I would have some fun with the kids instead.
All dressed up and nowhere to go. We were planning on going to the St. Patrick's Day parade and festival in Henderson, but the weather was super yucky.

When we woke up we noticed some green footprints leading into the workout room.

Our leprechaun only ate a few bites of his cupcake. He left us some yummy gold coins and two new DVD's.

What lucky kids!
Green smoothies and green eggs for breakfast. yum!

Rainbow Cupcakes

We decided we needed something to lure a leprechaun to the house on St. Patrick's Day. We decided on rainbow cupcakes. Luckily I had two great helpers to make them with me.

We had fun mixing the colors.
So colorful.
They are getting bigger.
The boy loves cupcakes.
The finished product. Our leprechaun left the gold coins for us. I thought they made the cupcakes extra special.

Floyd Lamb State Park

We went to a new park the other weekend. It was a 45 minute drive, but worth it. The park was awesome. Ducks, picnic, walking, beautiful day, etc. It's days like this that I love Vegas.

Aubree's Birthday

We have been to about 7 birthday parties in the last 2 months. It seems like everyone we know was born in February or March. I haven't been posting about them, but this party the other week was so much fun. It was at My Gym. It is a gymboree type place. The kids had a super time and we can't wait to go back again.

Margaritaville

We met Cousin Ryan, Aunt Cindy, Nana, and Pa at Margaritaville for lunch yesterday. We got to sit in a super cool boat and eat lunch.

Love

I love it when they hold hands. It makes my heart smile.

Spring!

We blinked, and now it is springtime around here. The trees are in full bloom and the kids are in love with all the flowers on them.
My cuties sitting on the park bench.

Taylor is getting very brave these days on the playground equipment.
She picked some flowers off on of the trees "for her wedding"
The pink flowers from the plum trees are our favorite.
My handsome boy. He loves to sit at the top of slides. Doesn't love going down, just wants to sit at the top of them.

Playdough

These two love playdough. They play with it almost everyday. Which means I play/clean with it everyday.

Heritage Museum

The other day I took the kids to an old museum in Henderson. I had gone there many years ago on a field trip with a 4th grade class and remembered there was a train and old train station. Since my boy is obsessed with everything choo choo I thought we'd make the drive and give it a go. Not exactly the best museum for a 3 year old and 1 year old, but the trains stuff was a big hit and worth the $1 entrance fee!

Valentine's Day Party

I know Valentine's Day is so last month, but I just found these and had to post them. We had a little party with our playgroup and it was super fun. Mr. E was sick so he had to stay home, but Taylor and I went and had a ball.
Taylor with "the best juice ever". I tried to explain to her that it tasted so great because it was not juice, but sugar. She didn't get it.

Decorating our bags with our friends
Taylor was very thorough when placing her cards in everyone's bags.
She loved going through her cards and candy. She even shared a few treats with her brother.

Picnic at the Preserve

We had a fabulous picnic at the Springs Preserve the other weekend. We have been blessed with beautiful weather lately and we are trying to make the most of it. I know the 100 degree weather will be here before we know it!

Enjoying the sun on our picnic blanket.
Taylor was scared of the mammoth at the museum.
The children's park had this train to play in. Ethan was in heaven!
The new State Museum is open so we had to check it out.
Enjoying the bird show.
These 2 never look at the camera at the same time!
