Taylor's First Birthday

Taylor's first birthday party was last weekend. We had a ball celebrating with our little one year old. It was a ladybug party. Taylor loves them whenever she sees them in books. Grandma Becky and Grandpa Don were nice enough to host the party at their house for us.Taylor in her ladybug dress all ready for the party to begin.Daddy and Taylor checking out the balloons.

Opening up presents with mom. Taylor loved all of her gifts. Thanks everyone!
Playing with her new stuffed dogs.

Time for cake. Well, not exactly. I made these little cupcakes instead.

Singing happy birthday to Taylor. She was very unsure of all the attention.

Taking a bite out of the first cupcake. Taylor really loved the frosting. It was super sweet.

After a few bites! Wow, black frosting is not the way to go for a cupcake. Many people at the party did not try the cupcakes after witnessing this. I am still trying to figure out why!

After the cupcake Taylor went straight into the sink for a little scrub. Frosting gets everywhere!

Cruisin' in California

To celebrate Taylor's Great Grand Aunt's 90th birthday, the family took a 4 day cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. Taylor had loads of fun running wild around the shiny floors of the Carnival Elation. She loved seeing all of her relatives from Grandpa Ron's side of the family, too. A good time was had by all.Nothing says "Happy 1st Birthday" like a Cruise on the Pacific Ocean.
It's Miller Time.Taylor does her best Dancin' Queen impression while chillin' in the Cole Porter Club.

Field Trip Fun With Stefanie's Class

Stefanie's 2nd grade class went to the Natural History Museum to learn about the past. Greg and Taylor decided it was a novel idea to tag alone for the day. Taylor explained to Greg that anything on four legs was either a "dog" or a "cat." From now on, Giraffe's are now giant dogs.
