New Seats

We decided to open up a few birthday presents early this weekend (Taylor is very persuasive). First we opened up some adorable clothes from the Stephen's Family (which she is sporting in this photo shoot). Then we opened up our big girl car seats. I'm a big girl now! Buckle me in mom, I'm ready to go.
The best present of all, a box for Taylor and Kitty to play in!

Walking

I was supposed to go scrapbooking on Friday, but I decided to stay at home with my family. I am so glad I did because when I walked through the door I couldn't believe my eyes. My little girl took 7-8 steps to get to me! That's right, Taylor is walking. She only takes 5-6 steps and then falls, but she just keeps getting back up and doing it again.

Daddies and Daughters

Greg and Taylor met up with Greg's friend Dave and his adorable little girl Grace last week. They had a daddy daughter date at the Shark Reef (the mommies were at work). The girls had a great time playing together and watching the fish. Grace and Taylor ready to explore the ocean.

Grace, stop posing and look out there is a shark that is going to get you.

Back at home where it is safe and we can roll in our blankets.

4th of July

We spent the day at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego. We ate way too much, got a ton of sun, and saw a bunch of animals. I spent most 4th of Julys at the fair as a child, so it seemed perfect to take Taylor there on her first 4th of July. Daddy and Taylor ready to see it all!

We found a play area in the Kiddie part of the fair. There were a ton of beach balls there. Taylor thought that the balls were the best. We are heading to the 99 cent store tomorrow to get her one of her own.

Family picture.

Taylor got to pet this little pig. She thought it was the coolest thing ever. She didn't want to leave.

Hanging with the Fam in Escondido

We headed down to the San Diego area to celebrate the 4th with friends and family. We drove up to Escondido on the 3rd to visit with everyone. Thanks to the Prentice Family for entertaining us for the day! Taylor eating corn on the cob. Her technique definitely needs work, but she did manage to eat a few kernels.
The girls hanging out inside.

Boys will be boys. Greg and Uncle Mike chose to sit outside and catch some rays and of course some beer!

Swimming Lessons

Taylor and I have been taking swimming lessons with my friend Gina and her son Joey for the last few weeks. Taylor loves the water. Her new favorite move is the "humpty dumpty" exersize. She sits on the wall and loves to jump into the pool.Stef, Taylor, Joey, and Gina
