San Diego Trip

We always have the best time in San Diego. I guess that's why we visit there so much. If it wasn't for the long and boring car ride we'd be down there every month. We managed to jam pack our trip with a ton of fun things. We went to the zoo, ate tortillas in Old Town, went to Sea World, splashed in the hotel pool, went to Marie's birthday party, and Ethan got to meet his Great-Grandma for the first time.

San Diego Souvenirs

We just couldn't help ourselves! We just had to bring back some souvenirs from our trip.Taylor went crazy at the Sesame Street gift shop at Sea World.

Poor Ethan brought back a sunburn. He had on a hat most of our trip, but his fair skin just couldn't handle it. Can't wait till he's old enough to wear sunscreen.

Sea World

We spent a few hours at Sea World while in SD. Taylor loves dolphins and we couldn't wait to see the new dolphin show. Taylor and her favorite guy.
Ethan spent most of the day in the stroller.

Dolphins, dolphins, dolphins!

Sea lions are cool too.

What's that Daddy?

San Diego Zoo

Taylor is in love with animals so we made sure to visit the zoo while in San Diego. Taylor loved seeing the monkeys and hippos, but she did not enjoy the snakes. The Jacobs family in front of the new elephant exhibit.

Too Hot for Clothes

We're in a heat wave. It's been over 110 for five straight days. It's way too hot for clothes.

BBQ

We went to a fun BBQ at Nana & Pa's house on the weekend. We helped our friends Don and Cathy celebrate their anniversary. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We also enjoyed some great food and drinks. Taylor and Greg in the pool. The pool temp was 85. The pool was full!

Mom and Ethan decided to sit this pool party out.

Taste-tester

Taylor loves to help us cook. Lately she has been doing more tasting than helping. I know it's normal for kids to want to lick the spoon when your done, but Taylor can't wait. Onethis particular cooking occasion Taylor devoured a mixture of flour and oatmeal. She wouldn't even wait till I put the sugar in!

Just Like Mommy?

This girl cracks me up! I left out my attachments for my breast pump and Taylor decided to make some milk for her brother just like Mom. Too bad she was trying to get milk from her belly button. She better figure things out before she has a baby of her own or that baby will starve!

Rollin Rollin Rollin

Ethan started rolling last week. He has been practicing for the past few days and has it down now. He is very fast and determined (just like his sister was). One minute he is laying on his back on his play mat, and the next he has rolled off of it.

Taylor's Blanket

Yesterday I put Ethan on Taylor's blanket to have some tummy time. Taylor was less than pleased. After about 5 minutes she got over it and decided to show her brother some love. He's still got those adorable blue eyes.
Ethan loved Taylor's blanket.

Taylor giving Ethan a big kiss.

As I was snapping this picture Taylor told me she was going to ride Ethan. I decided to put the camera down and get her off of her brother. I am not sure why she thought she could ride Ethan. He doesn't look like a horse to me.

Time Out

Taylor doesn't go to time out very often but when she does go she isn't happy about it.This is Taylor in her time out corner.
And this is why she was in time out. Thank goodness for magic erasers. We learned this week they take crayon off of kitchen cabinets.

Seattle Fun

We had a great trip visiting our family up in Seattle, Washington. Here are a few of the things we did.We watched our family members run the half marathon.
We played with cousins.

We ate a lot of yummy food.

We played in the water and got dirty.

Ethan met his great-grandpa.

We watched a movie on the plane.

We celebrated Val's B-day.

We played at the park.
And we can't wait to visit again. Thanks to our Seattle family for taking such great care of us. We had a great family vacation!

Jump Planet

We went to an amazing bouncy castle place in Seattle. Taylor is totally addicted and can't wait to try out one of these places in Las Vegas. Mom and Dad had a ton of fun bouncing and going down the slides too.
Bounce, Bounce, Bounce

Down the slide with mom.

Ben and Taylor racing down the slides.

It's fun to watch everyone bounce.

Ethan is going to learn how to bounce next year.

Seattle Zoo

While we were in Seattle we went to the zoo. Taylor really loved all the animals she saw. The giraffes were by far her favorite. Ethan was a great sport. He pretty much just slept and ate. I guess some things never change.
