Carving pumpkins is always so much fun. From the slimy goo to the cuts on our hands. We always have a great time and ask ourselves why we do it.
Ready to carve!
Daddy's big helper.
Those are some good looking pumpkins!
Last year Taylor was adorable sitting in the huge pumpkin. We had to use towels inside the pumpkin so she would fit. This year, it didn't go so well. The pumpkin was huge and so was the baby. She hated the feel of the inside of the pumpkin and let us know it. This was the only picture I got.

Baby Elizabeth
Now that Taylor is over her cold we got to go visit the new baby in our lives. My friend Margie gave birth earlier this month and we have been dieing to visit for weeks now. Baby Elizabeth Ann is gorgeous and we are so glad that she is here.

Margie and Elizabeth
As you can see, Taylor was not very interested in the baby. She loves babies when we are out shopping, but when we are close to one she totally ignores it.

Springs Preserve
Saturday night we went out to the Springs Preserve to their Halloween Festival. We had a great time walking around and it was such a beautiful night out.
I Tried
Every year Greg and I can't decide on a Halloween costume for the party we always go to. Greg always wants to dress up in some costume where he can really get into the character. We usually find some costume to compromise on. This year I got an idea for an octopus costume in a family magazine and somehow convinced my wonderful husband to go as an octopus with me. I thought the pic in the magazine was adorable (it was on a toddler). Our costumes however were not the biggest hit though. Actually, most people couldn't figure it out. I guess the eight purple or red legs were really confusing. Oh well, I tried. Next year I will probably have to let Greg pick our costume which means I will be recognized and totally embarrassed.

Pumpkin Time
Boulder City Art Fair
Even though it was super windy out this weekend we headed up to Boulder City to go to the craft/art fair. We had a great time buying all sorts of things we didn't need and eating all sorts of things we shouldn't be eating. Taylor was not too thrilled with the selection of crafts this year, but did like playing at the park.

Big Sister
For those of you that haven't heard, Taylor is going to be a big sister in March! I found this t-shirt the other day and I couldn't resist. It's way too big on her (the smallest size they make is a 2T). I guess they think most people don't have 1 year olds and babies at the same time.
Playing at the Park
Now that I am home in the mornings Taylor and I get to spend a lot of time together. Lately we have been heading to the little toddler park that is in our development. Thankfully the weather has cooled off a bit so we can stay longer than five minutes. Taylor loves running around and going down the slide.
Taylor and her slide.
We love the park, but not the bark. Taylor hates walking in it. She'd rather pick it up and put it in her mouth.
