Greg and Grandma Becky took Taylor, Ethan, and cousin Reagan to the cactus garden last week. They do an awesome job of lighting up the garden. The kids had fun running around and checking out the lights.

Sky Zone
We checked out a new place last week. Sky Zone is our new favorite place for sure!!! It is one big warehouse filled with trampolines. The kids and I jumped for about 2 hours and we were exhausted afterwords.
Together All the Time
Ethan has been sneaking into Taylor's room in the middle of the night to sleep in her bed with her. Although we are not thrilled with this, we would rather him go to her room instead of ours!

All Aboard
Ethan has loved trains for almost a year now and his interest seemed to be fading. Ever since we went on the Halloween train Ethan has been in full conductor mode. He is now obsessed with trains. He rearranges all the furniture in our house on a daily basis to make trains. Then he puts on his conductor hat and yells, "All Aboard". I love it. Except for the fact that he is breaking the furniture and never puts it back.
Thanksgiving with Friends
We had a little Thanksgiving get together with our playgroup friends. We ate. We played. We did crafts. We didn't get many cute pictures.

Taylor's School Party
Taylor had a Halloween Party at her preschool today. Ethan and I got to go and help out in her class. Ethan was so happy to be in the classroom like a big boy!
My little peacock!
They started the day with a parade around the preschool playground.
Then Mrs. D. explained all the center activities.
Ethan and I were in charge of the bobbing for apples station.
Ethan got to make a special pumpkin rice krispie treat.
Snack Time! No party would be complete without lots and lots of treats.
Pre Halloween Fun
Around here Halloween isn't just a day long event. It is a month long event. It seems like we've been getting ready for the big day for days and days. Here is just a glimpse of some of the things we've been doing to get into the Halloween spirit. Get ready, it is a very long post.
This year Ethan is Jake from The Neverland Pirates. He loves pirates and Jake is his favorite. Taylor is a peacock. She picked out a Merida costume and had wanted to be "The Brave Girl" forever, but when she saw me making my costume she changed her mind. Luckily, I had bought too much material so I had plenty to make her costume too.
Every year Greg and I go to an adult Halloween Party hosted by our friends The Langs. I was a peacock and Greg was a twister board. Greg will not be wearing this costume to work on Halloween!
We went to the Springs Preserve for their Haunted Harvest. The kids played carnival games, went in a haunted house (not a scary one), and went trick or treating around the preserve.
Our community does a Halloween Festival every year. They moved it to the big park down the street this year since it is getting so popular. We loved it since now we can walk to it! Jeff, Kate, Abby, and baby Claire joined us.
I found these Mr. Potato Head kits at Target last year and we didn't have time to use them. They are awesome!!!! They can rearrange the pieces in the pumpkins. So fun.
The Nevada State Railroad Museum is always so nice to offer free rides on Halloween weekend if you're in your costume. Ethan is still in his choo choo phase and we just increased it 10 fold by going on the Halloween Train on Sunday. He has been building trains out of boxes for the past 3 days. He uses his tricycle as the engine. This year we had the whole Jacobs Clan with us. The kids Great-Grandparents were even able to make it. Ethan was really excited to meet the conductor. He has been talking about his hat non-stop.
Our playgroup does a Halloween Party at the park every year. We play games, have a potluck lunch, and then trick or treat to everyone's picnic blankets for candy.
Carving pumpkins is always so much fun? It is kind of like decorating cookies. The first one is great, but after 5 minutes you just start just trying to get done. We had fun with the kids though. We hammered cookie cutters into the pumpkins to make fun cut outs. The kids loved the hammering part!
