Our Little Pumpkin...

To celebrate the day before Halloween, the Jacobs family decide to carve their pumpkins. Greg carves his giant pumpkin while Taylor watches in awe.
Taylor was definitely enjoying herself, while her parents were busy getting covered in pumkin goo.

Stefanie models Taylor's baby pumpkin.
I would label each pumpkin by designer, but I'll let you try to guess.

No Halloween would be complete without the classic "naked baby in a giant pumpkin" photograph.

Got Milk?

I know this is a gross pic, but I thought it was just too funny. Taylor is a rolling machine. Every time I put her down she rolls over. She loves to be on her tummy now. Today when she rolled over I heard a big splat noise. Taylor pucked up most of her breakfast and face planted right into it. Her milk face was just too funny to resist taking a picture of.

Fall Festival

Last weekend we went to the Fall Festival at the park by our house. They had lots of games and candy for the kids. It was a very nice day out, but we can't wait for the cool fall weather to hit Las Vegas.

Daddy and Taylor stopping for a picture.

All bundled up in her Pumpkin clothes. I don't know why we dress her in warm clothes. It is still in the high 80's here.

She doesn't sit or stay, but she CAN rollover!!!

Sometimes, diaper changes can be joyous occasions. Sometimes, the joy is felt by the baby, as her wet diaper is removed from her bottom. Other times, the parents feel the blissful relief from the ease of a cleanup of a #2. There are, of course, rare occasions where everyone feels the magic of a diaper change. This was the case in our house this past week, as Taylor decided it was time for her to show off her skills of rolling over onto her stomach. (I know, it's not quite "America's Got Talent" level, but I think we all know that there are some days where rolling over out of bed is THE most difficult task we've ever been faced with.) Unfortunately for Taylor and future life as a teenager, Daddy felt it was more important to capture the images on video and photo, instead of putting a diaper on her naked tush. Fortunately, no rugs were harmed (or messed on) during the taping of this milestone.
Taylor begins the roll over, using the classic leg over leg technique perfected by the Chinese in the 1996 Olympics.Almost there...
At this point, the roll is basically complete. The look on Taylor face is either that of self-satisfaction from completing a roll, or that of self-humiliation as she realized she is naked from the waste down.

Today we went to the Bite of Las Vegas event. Food, music, and sun. What more could you want. We had a great time and ate way too much. Aunt Nikki and Taylor waiting for the music to start.

I just love how peaceful she is when she sleeps.
Just the girls!

Cousin Abby

What a great day yesterday was. Greg took the day off to spend some time with his girls and we finally got to meet the newest member of the Jacobs clan, Abby! It seems like forever ago that Abby was born. Taylor has been waiting for a month for her cousin to come home from the hospital. She was thrilled to finally say hi to her.

In all honesty, Taylor had no clue what was going on, but mom was so excited to hold an itsy bitsy baby again.
Uncle Greg and his niece Abby
Uncle Jeff and the girls. I don't think we have to worry about Taylor and Abby fighting over clothes just yet.Kate, Jeff, and Abby!!!

Our Little Pumpkin

The whole family, including Grandma Becky, Grandma Pam, Grandpa Ron, Aunt Nikki, and cousins Haley and Wyatt headed out to the Gilcrease Orchard in Las Vegas to hunt for pumpkins. The selection wasn't the best this year, but we found a little pumpkin for Taylor. The family in their silly pumpkin hats. Greg was oh so thrilled that I made him one too. He couldn't wait to put it on once we got to the pumkin patch.
The whole gang beared the wind and cold to look for pumpkins this year.
Taylor slept in mom's arms most of the time. Pumpkin picking is very tiring.
Hanging out in the car while Daddy was paying for our goodies.
Taylor can't wait to carve her big girl pumpkin later this month. She can't decide if she should make a happy pumpkin face or a scary pumkin face. Tune in next week to find out!

Chuck E. Cheese

Grandma Pam, Taylor, Stefanie, and our friend Emily spent the day at Chuck E. Cheese's. We won a ton of tickets and had a blast.

Grandma, Chucky, and Taylor hanging out.

Emily hit the skee ball bonus!

Not too sure about the Barney ride.

It's hard playing all those games.

Emily will be an amazing mommy someday. She truly loves Taylor. She gives her hugs and kisses constantly.

A Surprise Grandma Becky Visit!!!

Stefanie and Taylor were in the neighborhood, so Taylor suggested that they stop by to visit Grandma Becky. Grandma Becky was delighted to see her granddaughter and celebrated the moment by taking pictures. (This seems to be a common theme with Grandma Becky). =)
Is this a picture of a flower or of Taylor hamming it up for the camera?
(Insert cute phrase about smiling baby here)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? NO. Newborn Cutie Ninja Taylor? YES!
Grandma Becky's cleaning lady, Cuca, and Taylor pose for a photo. Later, Cuca was told several times, "No Clean Baby." Cuca is a dedicated professional, but sometimes she gets carried away with bleach. Just to be safe, "NO CLEAN BABY!"

Go Dodgers

Taylor got bored watching the baseball game so she started making silly faces at the camera.
Taylor cheered so much she tired herself out. She spent the second half of the game sleeping on mom.

Art in the Park

It was a busy Saturday morning for the Jacobs family, as we ventured out to Boulder City to walk around the "Art in the Park" Aunt Nicole and Grandma Pam came along for the adventure. It was a beautiful day. The crafts were interesting (according to Stef). The funnel cakes were delicious (according to Greg). The extra time spent being held by Grandma Pam was delightful (according to both Grandma Pam and Taylor) We're pretty sure that Grandma Pam came along with the sole purpose of holding Taylor for the entire event.
The ladies taking a moment out of their shopping bonanza to take a family picture.
Our family tree (picture).
It is obvious from the expression on Taylor's face that she is either horrified by craft fairs, or just trying to copy daddy's expression.

Terrifically Two

Taylor is already two months old. We celebrated her birthday by scrapbooking at Grandma Pam's house. She is starting to smile when we play with her. As you can see she has grown a lot over the past few weeks. She now weighs 10.9 pounds and is 22 inches long.
